From May 7th to 9th, 2014, Lu Bo, the President of CRIG, attended the 5th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum (hereinafter referred to as IIICF) in Macao. Based on the theme of Infrastructure Connectivity Provides New Impetuses for International Cooperation, the forum explored the vision and planning of infrastructure connectivity, financing solution, diversified ways of cooperation, coordination of connectivity programs, physical connectivity and economic cooperation, as well as other topics of social welfare.37 Ministry level officials from 23 countries and regions, and more than 30 international financial institutions and representatives of nearly 300 international related companies attended the forum.
During the forum, Lu participated in every activity organized by the forum, and discussed with representatives from various fields in terms of the challenges and solutions of connectivity as well as the issue of how to improve international infrastructure cooperative level and quality. Lu also had meetings respectively with Mr. Mile Janakieski, the Minister of Transportation and Communication of Macedonia, Mr. Bernardo Guillamon, the President Advisor and the Manager of Outreachand Partnerships Officeof theInter-American Development Bank, and Mr. DiaoChunhe, the Chairman of China International Contractors Association, discussing the issue ofstrengthening further cooperation and communication.
