The general contract for the construction of HongKong
"Tung Chung New Town Extension - Tung Chung Valley Site Formation and
Infrastructure Works Phase I Project (in short, "Tung Chung Valley Site
Formation Project") was officially signed in the Conference Room on 13F of
North Point Government Offices of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
Government on June 15. Mr. Fong Hok-shing, director of Sustainable Lantau Office of the Civil
Engineering and Development Department of the HKSAR Government, and Mr. Wai Man
Yip , Chief Engineer, and others attended the signing ceremony.
Fong
Hok-shing is full of confidence for CREC to undertake the construction of
the said Project. He hopes that CREC, on the principle of safety first, will do
a good job in the fine management of the Project, constantly optimize its work
procedures, and build the Project into another excellent high-quality project.
The total contract
amount of the Tung Chung Valley Site Formation Project awarded to CREC is 1.139
billion Hong Kong dollars. and the time for completion for the main works is 44
months. This Project is the first phase, and its main contents
include: Construction of roads L29 and L30, road improvement works at
Songren Road and Shek Mun Kap Road, site formation and infrastructure works at
Areas 42 and 46 in Tung Chung, construction of utility tunnel, sustainable urban
drainage system including stormwater collection and treatment and landscaping
works, etc. This is the first independent project awarded to CREC in Hong Kong
in recent years, which expanded the influence of CREC In Hong Kong and
surrounding area markets and played a positive role in improving its brand
image.
